PFAS course attracts interest
At the EU level, a restriction of the risk substances PFAS, which are found everywhere in the environment, was recently proposed. Switzerland, meanwhile, has also been intensively analysing these substances, whether in connection with new legal limits in food or the ban on PFAS-containing ski waxes. In order to provide comprehensive information about the PFAS substance class and its toxicity to the environment and humans, the Ecotox Centre organised a course last week, which was followed by more than 80 participants on site or online. The Swiss Centre for Applied Human Toxicology SCAHT was also involved in the organisation of the course, which also addressed the current situation in Switzerland. Due to the high level of interest, we will be organising another course on PFAS in June.
