Metals in Swiss sediments

A new report summarizes the available data on metals in Swiss sediments. In addition to the statistical and geographical distribution of the measured metal concentrations, the metals’ ecotoxicological potential according to sediment quality guidelines is assessed. The report allows prioritising the metals according to the amount and exceedance of sediment quality guidelines and natural concentrations.
