Ecotoxicology for schools

Yesterday, the Ecotox Centre's laboratory in Lausanne opened its doors to numerous school classes and gave them some insight into the field of ecotoxicology. The students watched soil organisms under the binocular and learned how these little animals can serve as an early warning system for environmental pollutants. This exciting view into the world of science happened in the framework of the EPFL's "Journée des classes" (School day), which aims to get local school classes into topics from the natural sciences and engineering - this time, more than 2000 students attended the event.
