Ecotoxicology for high school students

Last week, the Ecotox Centre's laboratory in Lausanne opened its doors to numerous high school students and gave them some insight into the field of ecotoxicology. The students learned how sediment and soil organisms can serve as detectors for environmental pollutants and help assess environmental quality. This exciting view into the world of science happened in the framework of the EPFL's "Journée des gymnasiens". The indispensable event allows future students to learn more about studies at EPFL and to spend one day at the section of their choice to help them decide which subject to take.
