Ecotox Centre member of CIPEL scientific board
Benoît Ferrari from the Ecotox Centre has been elected as member of the Scientific Board of the International Commission for the Protection of Lake Geneva (CIPEL). CIPEL is a Swiss-French Commission with the aim to preserve or restore the water quality in Lake Geneva. To this aim CIPEL commissions tests to determine the type, quantity and source of water pollution. In addition, CIPEL recommends the governments in question appropriate measures to eliminate existing burdens or to prevent further loads. In a recent project commissioned by CIPEL, the Ecotox Centre has studied how the micropollutant load of the Lake Geneva basin can be reduced. (see report).
